JJFIA is an organization dedicated to provide support and guidance to Jiu-Jitsu instructors, school owners and practitioners.
JJFIA is composed by three talented black belts. Professors Cadu Francis, Gabi Francis and Mathieu Peters, form a team of highly skilled instructors. Each of them possess an unique quality that compliments one another.
We are life long martial artists who have dedicated majority of our lives learning Jiu Jitsu, training Jiu Jitsu, talking about Jiu Jitsu and teaching Jiu Jitsu.
Nowadays there are so many techniques and methods available online that it is difficult to know what you really need. It’s like drinking water from a firehose. From Instagram to online courses you can have it all.
The last thing people need is another bucket of techniques to get even more overwhelmed.
It is quite common that an instructor teaches what they prefer or what they want to train for themselves instead of what the student really needs to learn.
Here at JJF HQ, the student is our number 1 priority. We have implemented different level curriculums with structured lesson plans and technique rotations. This method has worked out great here at JJF HQ and we decided to join forces with Mathieu to unify our teaching methodologies to create JJFIA.
The goal is to provide guidelines for instructors and students. This way the student will have a clear path of expectations to progress in rank and the instructor will be able to have a better-structured class.
We are aware that each BJJ athlete has his preferences for training. However, there is always universal principles of application. With this in mind, you can always modify the techniques learned to fit your game, body type or limitations.
